British Approvals Board for Telecommunications (BABT), the international radio & telecommunications Certification/Notified Body, has awarded CeDaR from Allround, a leading provider of communications system support software, the world’s first BABT Certificate of Attestation against its Code of Practice for the design and supply of communication support systems. Allround recognised BABT attestation would be key to operators wanting to ensure the independence of their billing system testing tools. CeDaR is already installed with the world’s leading global operators and this Attestation quantifies its position as a leading solution for billing system testing.

To achieve this attestation, Allround had to undergo a rigorous assessment covering 3 core elements. Firstly, BABT’s highly qualified assessors reviewed the fitness for purpose of the product against a published Code of Practice including elements such as adhering to billing integrity principles, the thoroughness of testing to avoid failures and controls over modifications. Secondly, the suppliers’ organisation specific to the product being assessed is reviewed to ensure people can make the product customisable and that support/training is adequate. Finally, BABT assessed the quality management system of the organisation.
