Nowadays combating and preventing losses caused by roamers' fraudulent behaviour represents a hot topic in the mobile industry discussions. The GSM Association decided the mandatory implementation of a new standard to combat roaming fraud - the Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange (NRTRDE). The deadline for implementation of NRTRDE is mandatory for every GSM operator by 1^st October 2008.
